Ever since I was a little girl firecrackers and thunderstorms frightens me to the edge of crying. But still I tell my kids that it's nothing to be scared of. They believe me.

Sorry to hear that, though at least you got a great illo inspired by your fear. My parents' little dog gets the same way when she hears them as well unfortunately.
